We know how stressful it can be when your furry friend struggles with mobility, chronic pain, or the long road to post-surgery recovery. At Pet Pavilion, our mission is to provide world-class care that gives your pet their quality of life back.
That is why we are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our specialist team: Sara, our expert Veterinary Physiotherapist and MRI Technician!
Sara joins the Pet Pavilion family with over 10 years of experience in small animal care, including 8 dedicated years right here in the UAE. Her background is a powerhouse of clinical skill, combining advanced diagnostics with hands-on rehabilitation.
One of Sara’s most remarkable contributions to the veterinary field is her work with paralyzed pets. She shared the first documented spinal walking case in the UAE, utilizing research-based protocols to help pets regain movement.
Through a combination of reflex activation, body-weight-supported exercises, and guided neuromuscular training, Sara helps pets with spinal injuries find their feet again. Her evidence-based approach ensures that even the most complex cases receive a personalized plan for recovery.
Sara joins our existing physiotherapy expert, Engelbert, to form a rehabilitation powerhouse. Together, they provide a comprehensive range of solutions:
Whether your pet is a senior struggling with arthritis or an athlete recovering from an injury, our team is here to ensure they don’t just heal—they thrive.
Q: What is "Spinal Walking" for dogs?A: Spinal walking is a form of rehabilitation for pets with complete spinal cord injuries. It involves training the pet's body to use involuntary spinal reflexes to create a walking gait, even without a direct connection to the brain.
Q: Does my pet need an MRI before starting physiotherapy?A: While not always required, an MRI is the gold standard for diagnosing neurological and spinal issues. Having an MRI technician like Sara on-site allows us to coordinate diagnostics and treatment seamlessly.
Q: How do I book a session with Sara or Engelbert?A: You can book a consultation at our Mussafah branch by calling or messaging us on WhatsApp at +971 2 559 0453.
