Why Physiotherapy & Hydrotherapy?

Gentle, guided support for pets who need more than a standard appointment

Some pets need extra care when it comes to movement, strength, confidence, and recovery. Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy can help as part of a structured care plan — for mobility, controlled exercise, post-treatment recovery, age-related stiffness, fitness, or confidence in water.

Hydrotherapy uses the natural properties of water to create a lower-impact movement environment, while physiotherapy focuses on guided assessment, movement, and treatment planning. At Pet Pavilion, we do not rush pets into a session — we first understand your pet's condition, personality, previous experiences, and comfort level so the session can be adapted to them.

Veterinary rehabilitation sources describe hydrotherapy as a way to reduce joint stress while still providing resistance for strengthening, often used within rehabilitation plans for certain orthopaedic and neurological cases. (AAHA)

Why Pet Owners Choose Pet Pavilion

Care that starts before the session

We believe a good physiotherapy or hydrotherapy session starts with understanding the pet first. We look at more than the appointment type.

We ask about your pet's comfort, personality, behaviour, medical background, water confidence, and previous experiences — so the session feels safe, structured, and personal.

Your pet is not treated like a standard booking. They are treated like an individual.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does my pet need a veterinary referral?

If your pet has a medical condition, recent surgery, injury, diagnosis, or ongoing treatment plan, we recommend sharing a veterinary referral or report before the session. This helps us tailor the treatment and prioritise your pet's safety.

Is hydrotherapy suitable for pets who have never swum before?

Yes, first-time swimmers can be considered. Before confirming the session, we ask about your pet's behaviour, confidence, and previous water experience so the session can be introduced carefully.

How long is each session?

Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions are 1 hour.

Who conducts the sessions?

Sessions are conducted by Mr. EB, Physiotherapy Specialist.

When are sessions available?

Sessions are available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Pet Pavilion is closed on Tuesday.

Do I need to send my pet's vaccination book?

Yes. A copy of your pet's vaccination book is required before confirming your booking.

Do you offer home visits?

Yes. Home visit physiotherapy is available for initial assessments, single follow-up sessions, and packages.

Can I book a package immediately?
